The successful candidate will manage and coordinate all onshore marine activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of mooring, T&I, and hook-up operations. This role demands a deep understanding of marine logistics, vessel operations, and offshore installation procedures, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Mooring Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage mooring operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement mooring plans, selecting appropriate equipment and techniques for various vessel types and environmental conditions.
- Supervise mooring teams, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Transportation & Installation (T&I) Management:
- Lead and coordinate T&I operations, including the planning and execution of transporting and installing offshore structures.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure all T&I activities are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Manage logistics for the transportation of heavy and oversized equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to offshore locations.
- Hook-Up Operations:
- Oversee hook-up operations, ensuring the successful connection of offshore structures, pipelines, and other installations.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure all hook-up activities are executed according to plan and meet safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during hook-up operations, minimizing delays and ensuring project continuity.
- Marine Operations Oversight:
- Manage daily onshore marine activities, including vessel scheduling, berthing, and cargo handling.
- Liaise with port authorities, vessel operators, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor environmental conditions and adjust plans as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all marine, T&I, and hook-up operations comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure full compliance in all operations.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marine and offshore personnel, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing training and development to ensure the team’s skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets for marine, T&I, and hook-up operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of equipment required for mooring, T&I, and hook-up activities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of mooring, T&I, and hook-up operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and optimize marine operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine operations, with specific expertise in mooring, T&I, and hook-up activities.
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation techniques, mooring systems, and marine logistics.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in relevant marine and offshore software and technologies.
- Master’s license or equivalent offshore certification.
- Experience in offshore oil and gas operations.
